
Dates are absolutely great, sweet and a wonderful choice for a healthy snack. Mixed with nuts and seeds they just make perfect tasting desserts and give them a lovely texture. Dates can be used both for making raw cake crusts and also for cream fillings. Their delicious caramel like flavor it such a lovely addition to any raw dessert recipe. Of course there are also lots of other dried fruits that taste amazing but today it is all about dates.
I love to use dates in the crusts for raw vegan cakes and also for making raw candies and other delicious sweets. One great and very simple combination is just dates and coconut flakes. It tastes divine. just try it and you will definitely be amazed by the wonderful flavor of dates. Making raw bars is easy and simple so that you can be sure you always have something healthy with you on the go or even when time is running short.

What we need for making this delicious bars are the following ingredients:
1 cup dates
1 cut nuts
1 cut coconut flakes
1/2 cup millet flakes
vanilla
2-3 Tbs coconut oil
2-3 Tbs agave nectar
cinnamon
2-3 Tbs cacao powder.
We use a food processor for mixing the ingredients until we have a thick, sticky consistency, then we just take our mixture and make the bars. On top we can decorate them with some coconut flakes, cacao powder or even some nuts. Yum!
