It is always a great idea to mix super foods with delicious nuts and fruits and make a wonderful looking and savory tasting raw vegan dessert. Making healthy choices is a habit that we learn to incorporate in our lifestyles by practicing it day after day and enjoying the lovely benefits of those choices through simple acts of  kindness, consciousness and compassion to ourselves and the ones around us.

Eating healthy foods is amazing and a great practice to get along with. All we have to do is start with a few simple recipes and take a moment to stay present and connected to our bodies, listen to our inner guides and learn to eat in a conscious, mindful way.

One amazing way to incorporate the benefits of concentrated sources of nutrients, such as super foods, is to include them in delicious recipes which we normally have in our meals and also in a large variety of other goodies as a way of maximizing the long term benefits of enjoying a healthy meal and also get a chance to experiment with different flavors, textures and a boost of specific properties, such as energizing, hormonal balance, etc.

Here we have a mango and kiwi raw vegan cake, creamy and delicious combined with a lovely touch of spirulina as a great protein source and energy booster and also some maca powder with is a great choice for hormonal balance. The ingredients for this lovely tasting recipe are:

Crust

250 g cashews

100 g raisins

1-2 tbs agave nectar

orange peel

1 tbs maca powder

1-2 tbs coconut oil.

White layer

125 g cashews

1 mango

vanilla powder

3-4 Tbs coconut oil

3-4 Tbs agave nectar.

Blue-green Layer

125 g cashews

3-4 kiwis

3-4 Tbs agave nectar

3-4 Tbs coconut oil

1-2 tbs spirulina powder.

The crust is made by using a food processor and mixing the ingredients until we get a sticky, thick consistency of the mixture which we then spread on the bottom of  the cake form.

For the cream layers we use a blender and mix the ingredients by adding also about one cup of water for each of them or even more if needed and blend until we have a creamy consistency. We pour the cream layers on top of the crust, sprinkle with some spirulina powder and draw some nice figures of our choice. Next we put our good looking raw vegan cake in the freezer for a few hours.

When it is ready, we can take it out of the freezer and enjoy a delicious, creamy slice of it. The creamy and crunchy textures go perfectly together and it is a true joy to savor this delight on a hot summer day. The final touch is to add some sliced strawberries on top and just take a bite of this wonderful dessert. This is also a great opportunity to share the beauties of living a healthy lifestyle with our lovely friends and family members by offering them a slice of this wonderful cake and spend some quality time together, celebrating taking care of ourselves and making conscious choices.
