
Making healthy and delicious caramel bars is a wonderful choice for a fulfilling and tasty dessert. Nuts and dried fruits go well together and they create a wonderful texture by mixing them together in a food processor. We use them for pie crusts, cake crusts and of course for making delicious, healthy and fulfilling veggie bars.
This recipe is very simple and easy to make. First we have the bars and the ingredients that we need for making these amazing bars are:
1 cup dates
1 cup cashews or any other nuts
3-4 tbs coconut oil
cinammon
vanilla.
We use a food processor to mix them in order to get a thick, sticky consistency. When we get this consistency we can start making our bars or we can even use cookie cutters to make different shapes.
Next step is making the caramel layer. For this delicious and creamy layer we need the following ingredients:
1 cup dates
1/2 cup cashews
vanilla
1/2 cup water or more if needed
3-4 tbs coconut oil.
We mix the ingredients until we get a creamy and smooth consistency which we then spread on top of our delicious bars.
Final step is making the chocolate glaze which is very simple and easy to make. All we have to do is just mix some agave nectar, cocoa or carob powder and coconut oil or cacao butter and we have the glaze. We pour the glaze on top of the caramel cream and sprinkle some chopped nuts and we can either put them in the fridge for 1-2 hours or we can enjoy them right away.
