Spring is an amazing time for all of us to make small steps toward health and happiness on a day to day basis. Most people think of cleanses and detox programs as hard and rigid, but it does not really have to be that way. Remember that , first of all, your body is always doing some detox and cleaning on a day to day basis and most of the times this does not hurt you and second of all, it only hurts when there are to many toxins trying to get out of your body at the same time as a matter of changing your dietary behavior. Of course, getting the bad stuff out is a good thing, but learning to do it in an easy and amazing way is what actually makes it last and makes you take into account eating healthier on a constant basis more often than if you try to shock your body through weird and restrictive dietary plans.

One of the best friends of our bodies natural ways of being and functioning properly are greens. Greens are amazing and they are just so easy to use. You do not have to take things out and restrict yourselves from the foods that you love, just start with incorporating more greens into a day to day lifestyle and you will notice tremendous results. Greens are filled with nutrients, vitamins and help you feel happy, light and filled with joy. Greens also help you change the way you interact with your foods and the beautiful thing that comes with actually any whole foods that you start to incorporate more and more into your life is that at some point you will actually start to crave things that are healthy and good for your body. As we know, cravings are basically just a way that our bodies use to signal us and point us toward a specific nutrient that we may need. So, by finding the good food sources, natural and packed with that which our bodies need, we learn that we can change our behavior when it comes to food choices, it is just so much easier when we do it in a natural, simple way.

There are many ways to incorporate greens on a day to day basis, like salads, smoothies, veggie spreads or just simply putting them next to your regular food choices. Start by adding small amounts of greens to your current meals and you will see that they really do the body good. Of course, you can mix them with delicious veggies such as tomatoes, cucumbers or some cold pressed oils such as coconut, sunflower or olive oil, try them also with some delicious avocados, herbs, lemons and they are just going to taste amazing. When it comes to smoothies, this is easy as well, all your have to do is to just mix some fruits such as bananas with a few greens at first and then once you get used to the taste you can incorporate more greens if you want, but just start with sweet fruits and a few greens and you will see that these smoothies are absolutely great tasting foods. You can also choose to add spices to your salads and to your smoothies in order to make them taste even better. A great thing about smoothies is that they are so easy to make in the morning, or to be enjoyed when you are on the go and they are so easy to digest which means that they will definitely energize you in no time and make you feel amazing and excited to explore new ways of feeding your body, your mind and also your spirit.
