Gratitude Practice

In a world where most of us have been raised to keep wanting more and more things, focus on accumulation of different material possessions, titles and all kinds of ways of proving ourselves to the world and seeking for respect without taking a moment to acknowledge ourselves for the our amazing work and the contribution that we bring into the world, I think that a wonderful gift that we can give to ourselves is to welcome a gratitude practice into our lives. For me, gratitude is all about taking a step back in order to be able to see the whole picture, to be thankful for all that goodness that is already being present in our lives and to just enjoy the present moment.

Gratitude does not have to hold us back from wanting more or from looking for further opportunities in our lives, a gratitude practice is not about giving up on our dreams, but instead it is actually about allowing our dreams to unfold in our life in the best possible way, and that way may even be something that we have never though of. By being grateful for the abundance that we have already received, we are inviting even more abundance and abundant opportunities into our beautiful lives. Being at peace with ourselves is a constant remainder of our ability to be grateful, to be able to give more to the world and expect nothing in return, to be able to give without expectations and without putting pressure out there into the world. It is about, as I already said allowing things to unfold in the best possible way.

Gratefulness is also a reminder of how simple things can really change our life perceptions and can actually generate shifts in perception. Also this can help us welcome a new life mindset and allow us to experiment with a different approach to life that can in return allow us to be more focused on the willingness to do good, to spread a good vibe and to always be true to ourselves in order to encourage other to do this as well. When we bring more joy, gratitude, awareness and love into the world surrounding us, we encourage ourselves to be truthful and also encourage others to join us in this process of bringing more of those amazing gifts of human perception into the world.
