It is the last day of summer and autumn is almost here, what a beautiful time to be grateful for all the amazing gifts that the universe provides us with. There is always a good time to be grateful, but we are mostly driven to take a look at our lives especially when changes occur in our lives. A change in season might really look like a wonderful opportunity for us to be grateful, but there is still plenty of abundance when it comes to fresh and local produce. Today s recipe is a mix of summer flavors from things such as apricots and berries, with a subtle touch of grounding elements such as flax seeds and hazelnuts along with a fire element residing from the presence of cinnamon as a spicy condiment to give it all an even better taste and texture as well.

For this recipe, we are going to use the following ingredients:
1 cup dried apricots
1 cup mix of dried figs, goji and raisins
1 cup mix of hazelnuts and flax seeds
3-4 tbsp coconut oil
3-4 tbsp carob powder
1 tbsp mix of maca and cacao powder
Cinnamon.

We use a food processor to mix all the ingredients well until we get a thick and sticky consistency and then, when it is ready we can take it out of the food processor and make our delicious bars. I made mine into squares but you can shape them any way you want. When you are done cutting your bars into the shape of choice, then you can decorate them with some chocolate cream, coconut flakes and cacao or cinnamon powder. I personally also sprinkled some coconut sugar on top of my bars and they tasted absolutely delicious.
