Turmeric is such a great anti-inflammatory food simply because it helps the body repair itself and also get rid of foreign invaders that might be going through our bodies. Inflammation is the cause of so many diseases which makes it even more important to take care of the foods that we put into our bodies. Certain foods may trigger inflammatory conditions inside the human body and many times they might be simply not recognized as inflammatory foods simply because everybody else is eating them and maybe even because many people think that a little bit of pain from time to time is normal and they will just take a pill and the pain will vanish, but this is not the true purpose of inflammation in the body. Inflammation is the sign of something not going right in our bodies and what we need to do is take a look and see what can we do about it and not try to silence the pain. Choosing foods that are naturally high in antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties is taking it even one step further in order to help our bodies go back into balance and feel great in our bodies every single day of our beautiful and amazing lives.

Today`s recipe is a verry simple one, with just a few ingrediens that can help release inflammation from the body and even prevent inflammation from occuring in our bodies. A turmeric and ginger, delicious and spicy lemonade is a great choice that we can make when we want something that is really easy to make, hydrating and also verry nourishing to our bodies. For this recipe, we are going to use the following ingredients:

1/2 cup freshly squeezed ginger juice

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

3 cups water

1-2 tbsp turmeric powder

sweetener of choice.

We simply mix all the ingredients together and we have our ginger and turmeric lemonade ready to be enjoyed on a beautiful, warm afternoon, next to a good book or  at pretty much any time we wish to do so. I made mine without the sweetener just to see how is tastes and I have to say that it is pretty intense but it tastes absolutely divine.
