Today`s recipe is a delicious mix of crunchy and sweet with a touch of spice from the cinnamon powder. Lucuma is a great natural sweetener with a low glicemin index which makes it great to use even for people having trouble digesting sugars or even diabetics. Lucuma is as well as a great sweetener, also a wonderful source of antioxidants which makes it great for fighting and preventing diseases as well as slowing down the aging process. Lucuma has of course, an absolutely amazing taste and it is a great source of healthy carbohydrates.
Making raw vegan balls with nuts and dried fruits is one of the simplest ways in which we can learn to incorporate all kinds of healthy goodies into bite size pieces of raw vegan goodies and pack them with all the amazing nutritional benefits of raw foods as well as, all kinds of varieties of super foods and super foods powder that can be added to them in order to increase even more all their nutritional benefits.

For this recipe we are going to use the following ingredients:
1 cup dates
1 cup coconut flakes
1 cup buckwheat flakes
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp lucuma powder
3-4 tbsp carob powder
3-4 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
cacao butter flakes.
We use a food processor to mix all the ingredients until we get a thick and sticky consistency which we can then transfer into a different bowl and get started on shaping our delicious raw vegan lucuma balls. Of course we can make any shapes of choice so feel free to make bars or any other cookie shapes of your own desire. For mine, I just prefered to shape them into balls for this time. When the balls are ready we sprinkle some more coconut flakes on top of them and a little bit of cinnamon powder and they are ready to be served. YUM!
