Raw vegan desserts are a really great way to nourish our bodies while also enjoying a sweet treat. We all love something sweet from time to time, but many people might feel guilty or bad when they eat sweets because they usually think that sweets are not good for health. Well, this is actually true when is comes to processed foods of all kinds and not only sweet foods, but when we choose to have a raw vegan dessert then a whole new world of amazing and nourishing possibilities opens up in order for us to get the best possible treat for our own unique bodies. I love to have raw vegan desserts and even though over time I have learned to make them less sweeter and more filling, I still believe that pretty much any kind of raw vegan sweets are good for our health. Of course, as it goes with all things in life, balance is always the best place to be in order to live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life, so feel free to enjoy some delicious raw vegan goodness. YUM!

For this strawberry candies recipe we are going to use the following ingredients:

1 cup strawberries

1 cup dates

1/2 cup cashews

1 cup coconut flakes

lucuma, maca, cacao powder (1 tbsp of each)

3-4 tbsp carob powder

3-4 tbsp coconut oil.

We use a food processor for this part of the recipe and we are going to mix all the ingredients together until we get a thick and sticky consistency. Then we can start shapping  our raw vegan strawberry balls. When the balls are ready, then we can move on to the next step: making a delicious strawberry glaze. YUM!

For the strawberry glaze, we are going to use the following ingredients:

1/2 cup strawberries

3-4 tbsp coconut oil

3-4 tbsp cacao butter

3-4 tbsp agave nectar.

We use a blender to mix together all the ingredients for the strawberry glaze and we blend until  we get a smooth and creamy consistency. When the glaze is ready, we can poor it on top of our delicious raw vegan strawberry candies. Now, all we have to do is to just allow our candies to sit for a few hours in the fridge to get a nice consistency and then we can serve them next to a spicy tea or even a creamy raw vegan smoothie.
