Yoga Practice

I personally believe that any form of movement is great for the body as long as it reflects somehow our own unique and individualized needs and health goals at the same time. Many people think of movement in harsh and not so friendly terms and they associate the idea of physical health with a sense of “should haves“, “must do” and even “hard to get“, but a healthy balanced physical shape doesn`t have to be hard and stressful to get. Our bodies have an inner sense of what they need in order to be healthy and balanced and our bodies actually love movement and a sense of fulfillment and growth. All we have to do is to just find that one or many kind(s) of physical movement that best resonates with our own unique life values and personal preferences. Then, it just all unfolds naturally, in a healthy, balanced and easy way.

For me yoga and swimming are the forms of physical movement that I personally best resonate with. Yoga is literally being called as a representation of the idea of “union with the divine“, ” union with oneself“. From my perspective, yoga is or can be a great tool for better understading ourselves and for creating an open space where we can feel safe to be true to ourselves and then by exploring this truthfullness on the mat, we can bring it on with us into the rest of our lives and interactions with the surrounding world. Yoga is great for exploring ourselves, as we get to better understand ourselves, learn to practice compassion and kindness, become more aware of our own unique place in the world and better experience and become more conscious of the ways in which we are all connected within ourselves as well as with all living beings on Earth and even the Earth itself.

Of course finding the right form of movement that actually feels good and fulfilling for a specific person might take a while, but in the end all that sense of fulfillment and growth just makes the movement practive feel so natural and easy to incorporate into a day to day basis along with our other practices at all. I believe it just takes a moment to get quiet and listen to ourselves in order to be able to hear that inner guidance that is available for us at all times, then we just take that advice and incorporate it into our daily lives as we joyfully navigate towards better life practices, a more fulfilling life and most importantly we move towards a life that feels true to our selves and our most important core values and beliefs. When we live life to its fullest and we are being true to ourselves at all times, then we are truly able to experience this amazing journey that life is from a wonderful perspective of awareness, kindness and joyfulness at all times.
