I love a good dessert and as I have already said many times on my blog, brownies are my favorite go to treat. They are absolutely fluffy and delicious and since I ve discovered the raw vegan lifestyle I have just made lots of brownies recipes, so many that sometimes I no longer call them brownies anymore but nut bars or fluffy cakes. Yum! Brownies are delicious and they are definitelly my favorite dessert. Brownies are actualy one of the first foods that I have tried raw. I was completely amazed and Ive been so excited by how delicious the taste of raw vegan brownies is, that I have decided that Yes, I need more of this raw vegan goodness so that I have then gradually became a raw vegan. I still believe, up till this day that the easiest way to get into eating healthy and nutritious foods is by starting with raw vegan desserts and soothies. They are so tasty and delicious that pretty much anyone would love them.

Today`s recipe is a delicious mix of crunchy nuts and sweet, delicious dried fruits that make those beautiful bars that are a lot like brownies, most probably because of the carob and chocolaty taste, but also because of the sweetness and goodness that they bring to each and every single bite. For this recipe, we are going to use the following ingredients:
1/2 cup almonds for the bars, and another 1/2 cup chopped almonds for the topping
1/2 cup dates
1/2 cup dried plums
1/2 cup coconut flakes
3-4 tbsp coconut oil
3-4 tbsp agave nectar
1-2 tbsp maca
1/2 cup carob powder.

We use a food processor to mix all the ingredients for the bars together and mix until we get a thick and sticky consistency. When it is ready, we can take the mixture out of the food processor and make our bars. We can sprinkle some more chopped almonds or even cashews on top for even more crunchiness, and then all we need to do is place our delicious brownie bars into the fridge for 1-2 hours, or we can just serve them right away. They are such a great and energizing snack and they are so healthy and fulfilling that they can even be served for breakfast. Yum!
Feel free to share this delicious recipe with your lovely friends and family members and enjoy getting healthy together. Making healthy and fulfilling choices on a day to day basis is a habbit just like any other habbit and it requires repetition in order to became second nature, but as soon as our bodies and our minds get used to the new habbit, then everything unfolds naturally, in a healthy, balanced way. I truly believe that when we take care of our bodies and nourish ourselves with the most nutritious and fulfilling plant based foods available to us at all times, then we are really able to reach our full potential and live life to its fullest.
