Staying Fit and Mindful

Most of us know that there are a lot of ways out there in the world for things like being in shape, staying in shape and of course getting in shape. Most of the times we might be trying to fulfill somebody else`s expectations in relationship to this matter, especially when things like advertising and marketing are showing us models for ideals to be looking up to and those models are pretty much all over the place. Still, this does not mean that we have to take it all for granted, most importantly because there is no one size fits all, especially when we are talking about health and being fit as well as in many other life areas. I know for sure that especially during my teenage years I have not really been listening to my inner voice, but I was most likely looking for an outer source of validation, that mostly relied on my physical appearance. I know that many girls and women go through this at some point in their lives, it might be up to a different degree, but chances are pretty high that it will show up at one point so this is why I have decided to dedicate today`s post to this delicate but beautiful subject.

I have been writing here a lot about movement, nutrition and delicious meal choices, but now it is about time to get even deeper into this subject that relies on pretty much all the elements that are integrated into a healthy balanced lifestyle. I do believe that there is no magic pill here or magic solution, but instead it is all about an integrative approach. So, what does this mean? First of all, we do have to take care of our bodies by eating the foods that are right for our own individual characteristics and unique lifestyle and of course move our bodies on a regular basis. Second of all, the mindset that we bring to the table when we are navigating our lifestyles and setting goals and designing amazing dreams is just as important as nutrition and movement. The food for thought and how are we making a conscious choice to perceive the world are all going to influence our overall well being. Setting the ground for being in shape and staying in shape is strongly reliant on all those matters. Last, but not least, an attitude of gratitude is the best way to make sure that we are going to continue to receive what we appreciate the most in our lives. It really is not that complicated, after all it is all about being mindful and creating a habit out of being more aware of both what is happening inside ourselves, as well as outside ourselves in order to be able to make better and more fulfilling choices that ultimately support a healthy, balanced and delightful lifestyle.

For some people it might be easier to find themselves in shape, while for others it might seem a bit harder, but after all it all comes back to that conscious choices of tapping into your inner guidance more often that you probably do now and listen to that inner voice that is always there to guide. Sometimes we might have to silence the noises of the outside world, me might just be needing some good and delightful time with ourselves, with no distraction and just a lot of patience in order to be able to tap back into that inner guidance. Since we are navigating now great times of constant progress and change, it might feel overwhelming at times, and those times are the times when we need time for ourselves and with ourselves the most so that we can than show up into the world with re freshened energy levels and a beautiful and strong willingness to constantly grow, learn and evolve.
