Delightful Coffee Replacement Ideas

Coffee is definitely an important part of many people`s lives and daily routines. I have been on and off coffee myself and I do believe that there can be mindful ways in which we can still satisfy that desire for something bitter, which its been my case, or something that remind us of a dear one, or simply something that helps us connect with other people. We often say that we meet with other people to talk over a cup of coffee or tea so it is clear that coffee has definitely played an important role not only in relationship to the idea of “energizing” but also to the idea of “socializing”. I believe that many habits that we decide to stick with for longer periods of time not only have a chemical element (such as the addictive properties of a substance in and of itself) but also the emotional connections and interpretations that our minds have been wired to rely on as a result of past events and associations between the physical and the emotional elements of the human body and human interactions.

I have been discussing those two in the beginning of this weeks post because it is important to be aware of where we are standing at right this moment, especially when and if we are willing to integrate some changes into our day to day habits and routines. When it comes to coffee for example, there are great substitutes that are also very similar in terms of texture, taste (bitterness) and also color and smell. Of course, it is not the exact same thing, but the point is is not necessarily to give up something for ever, unless that is what we want, but instead to keep an open mind about potential alternatives that might be a great help as they do not have caffeine, do not interfere with our sleep patterns, can be served at any hour along the day. Such products are usually based on cereals, roasted, which of course are not raw, but they are still vegan and they taste really good. One option that I have tried for myself and that really fits my own taste is the chicory based drink, which its perfect for me when I crave something bitter and with a little bit of a richer texture that just a simple cup of tea. There are also other options such as barley or even carob powder can be a great substitute as well.

The only thing that matters when we are looking for change is to be crystal clear about what are we really looking for in terms of changing a well established patter. It is always worth it to know what is our inner motivation towards a specific goal so that we can than act on it, find what resonates with our own tastes and desires and be exited about doing it. After all there is no right or wrong when it comes to personal choices and motivations. It is simply important to be true to ourselves and speak our truth always, at all times. Than, it all unfolds naturally and we end up feeling like we can (and of course, we do have this ability) to reach our full potential and live life to its fullest in the most meaningful and delightful way possible. Also, feel free to share this amazing journey of yours with your lovely friends and family members and enjoy getting healthy together.
