As we all know already from hearing about this so many times, exercise is a very important part of living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Exercise affects and has the ability of creating significant changes in all area of our busy modern lives: anything from calming the mind to staying fit, healing the body and helping it naturally detoxify and clean itself of all sorts of toxins, it can all be supported through daily movement and exercise. Therefore, today, as the last part of this months series focused on sleep and relaxation, I am going to share with you my own thoughts on movement and exercise as well as interesting facts that I have encountered through out my own journey towards well being and health. I love exercise and I am just deeply grateful for my daily yoga practice and my daily walks. In general I do around one hour of yoga daily and anywhere between 30 minutes to one hour (sometimes even more) of nature walks every single day. I love going outside for walks and I also enjoy indoor yoga sessions.

As human beings we have evolved in ways in which movement was required for us in order to survive and thrive. Still, over the years there has been a tendency towards more sedentary jobs and daily occupations, but the truth is that movement still remains essential for our physical health as well as for our mental health. Exercise is not just for losing weight or staying in shape, it is also a wonderful and powerful tool for achieving a great state of well being and health as well as being able to better manage the stresses of challenges of our day to day lives. Exercise is a habit just like any other habit and it requires repetition in order to become second nature, but as soon as our bodies and our minds get used to the new habit everything unfolds naturally in a beautiful and graceful way. Exercise is also great for our ability to relax and to have healthy sleeping habits, as it improves our overall state of health.

Exercise is a wonderful tool for reconnecting with our loved ones, create meaningful experiences and have a great time doing something super healthy and nourishing together. I also believe that there is no one size fits all when it comes to exercise, just as it is when it comes to pretty much anything in life, therefore, finding the type exercise that fits best into each and everyone of us is a personal choice. I enjoy yoga and walking, from time to time I also go swimming, I have to say that I love swimming but it is not that convenient according to my current lifestyle to do it on a daily basis. Therefore, I would say that it is especially important to choose something that is both convenient and that we enjoy doing in order to become able to stick with the habit of exercising on a regular basis. Exercise contributes significantly to our ability to relax and rest through having healthy sleeping patterns so I would greatly encourage you to give it a try and find our what kind of exercise works best for your own unique needs.

This is the last part of this months series on sleep and relaxation. I really hope that you have been enjoying it and have found useful information that can serve you along your own way to sleeping well and relaxing well, all of course in a healthy balanced way.
