One thing that has been very important for me during the last five years and not only, consists of having a routine on a day to day basis. I find it super helpful to be able to do things pretty much automatically when it comes to implementing routines that are not only useful, but also represent a great support for embracing healthy lifestyle habits. When we do something on a day to day basis, it becomes pretty much automatic, and this is mostly because, our bodies and minds are constantly looking out for ways of improving and facilitating all the processes that we are going through as individuals, therefore, when it comes to forming new healthy habits, regularity and consistency are two very important elements that can lead us to amazingly successful practices. Doing something regularly is the best way to make sure that we are embracing a new habit or routine. Therefore when it comes to my routines for what and when I eat in the day these ideas have been very helpful tools that allow my entire day to unfold with ease and grace.
In general I would have two meals in a day. As I have been writing a few months ago, I did experiment this past summer with having three meals a day, but still after a while I went back to focusing my attention on just two meals a day, as this seems to work best for my own lifestyle and preferences. I find it great for both my digestion processes as well as from a mindset point of view. Therefore, I normally get the first meal of the day somewhere around 8 to 9 am, and it consists of a smoothie, a cereal bowl or pudding or a combination of both. For example I might be having a small green smoothie with a super delicious, nutritious and colorful chia pudding and it would keep me full and feeling good for a few good hours. I love to also add some crunchiness from time to time to the smoothness of the smoothie or the chia pudding by simply sprinkling some nuts or cereals on top of those just for fun, and a little bit of texture.

For my second and last meal of the day, which is usually somewhere around 1 to 2 pm, I love having lots of greens in a super colorful and bright salad mix, and I would also add to the salad all kinds of other raw vegan or vegan goodies. For example one day I might enjoy my salad with some nut pate or dressing, while another day I might be having some cooked vegan goods such as brown rice, quinoa or buckwheat with it. Yum!. All those vegan goodies are absolutely delicious and super nutritious and one more thing that I like to add to my salads is also different textures, such as chopped nuts, mixed seeds, cold pressed oils, different spices and of course nutritional yeast flakes, which are just amazing and taste absolutely divine. Before or after lunch I also love taking a walk outside and get some fresh air. Its just amazing for the health of our bodies to get in some daily movement. Other that taking my daily walk, I also do my daily yoga in the morning, right after my journaling practice, which are just two other very important components of my daily routine that are super helpful towards keeping myself grounded, happy, healthy and fulfilled.

Some other days I might be having a raw vegan soup or if I am on the go or traveling, I might just enjoy a smoothie and some raw vegan bars. Those ones can be very helpful when we do not have the proper setting to enjoy a meal, while still making sure that we are getting all the important nutrients that our amazing bodies need. Of course getting a smoothie or a bar can also be joyful, but what I mean here is that there might be times when we find ourselves in places such as a car or in the city, where we could not really be eating something like a salad or a soup and therefore I just want to emphasize the idea that even for those challenging situations, there are still solutions that help us stay healthy and fulfilled. One more thing I would like to add here is that smoothies and bars can be made to go, or they can also be found in health stores which is a great thing that we can all take advantage of in times when we might be finding ourselves unprepared.
This is my daily eating routine and I hope that you have been enjoying the ideas that I am sharing here and also that they can help you make and embrace your own daily routine towards healthy eating and of course, well being in general. Creating daily patterns and routines help us use our energy more wisely and show up prepared for whatever might come our ways. Feel free to share these tips with your lovely friends and family members and enjoy getting healthy together. Making healthy and fulfilling choices on a day to day basis is a habit just like any other habit and it requires repetition in order to became second nature, but as soon as our bodies and our minds get used to the new habit, then everything unfolds naturally, in a healthy, balanced way. I truly believe that when we take care of our bodies and nourish ourselves with the most nutritious and fulfilling plant based foods available to us at all times, then we are really able to reach our full potential and live life to its fullest.
