Tropical Smoothie Day

As we are patiently waiting for the spring season to come, I thought it might be a great idea to share with you today a super light and bright, nutritious and delicious recipe that might just brighten up your day. This recipe is a mix of tropical fruits and of course, some greens, for even more goodness and powerful nutrition and the best thing about it is that it can be made at any time of the year, as the kinds of fruits that are used for it can be found at the supermarket pretty much all across the year. I sometimes find out that I have all kinds of fruits or veggies in the house that look like they might go bad soon. I am sure that many of us go through this sometimes. What I love to do when this happens is through them all together, veggies or fruits, and make an experimental soup or smoothie. I have to say that it almost always turns out great, and the good news is that by doing it I actually discover a new recipe that I might be trying out again somewhere in the future. Todays recipe is just about that.

Here are the ingredients that we are going to need for this amazingly delicious tropical smoothie:

3 bananas

1 mango

4 kiwis

1 cup baby spinach

1 cup (or more, depending on your desired consistency) vanilla almond milk.

We use a blender to blend all the ingredients together until we get a smooth and creamy consistency and then, when our smoothie is ready we can take it out of the blender and pour it into some serving glasses or cups of choice. It can also be saved for later by storing it sealed into a glass jar for about 1 to 2 days in the fridge. I usually make my smoothies in advance for the next 2 days or so and they taste perfectly fine so I find this to be pretty helpful with the time management too.

Feel free to share this delicious recipe with your lovely friends and family members and enjoy getting healthy together. Making healthy and fulfilling choices on a day to day basis is a habit just like any other habit and it requires repetition in order to became second nature, but as soon as our bodies and our minds get used to the new habit, then everything unfolds naturally, in a healthy, balanced way. I truly believe that when we take care of our bodies and nourish ourselves with the most nutritious and fulfilling plant based foods available to us at all times, then we are really able to reach our full potential and live life to its fullest.
