Today I am going to share with you a super delicious and nutritious, easy to make matcha latte recipe, which includes of course one of my favorite flavors: the coconut flavor. I just love coconut and coconut based products in all kinds of forms and recipes. I have lately discovered and tested both the MCT powder and MCT oil, with is basically super concentrated coconut goodness that just boosts your mood and energizes you through out the day. It tastes super yummy, a little bit like coconut but also super rich and creamy. I just love both the oil and the powder. I use the oil for salads for example, its amazing, and I usually use the powder for drinks such as coffee, chicory and of course matcha drinks. I also love green teas of all kinds and matcha is also a kind of greeen tea, so this mix between matcha and coconut is simply divine for me. I love to drink this plain, but it can also be sweetened by adding some agave nectar or maple syrup, or just any healthy sweetener of your choice.
Here are the ingredients that we are going to need for this amazing and delicious matcha latte recipe:
3/4 cup of warm water
1 tsp of matcha powder
1 tsp MCT powder
1 tsp coconut butter
1/4 cup coconut milk.
We mix all the ingredients together, and allow the coconut butter to melt into this warm drink until it all reaches a smooth and creamy consistency. It is great served a little warm, especially now, during the cold season and it can also be spiced up a bit, if desired with some seasonal condiments such as cinnamon, ginger or nutmeg. It tastes simply divine, its consistency its absolutely amazing and it is of course super delicious, nutritious and also super energizing due to the healthy coconut fats and the energizing properties of the matcha and the MCT powder. It is simply just Yum!
