I have to say that lately I have really been enjoying all kinds of super simple and of course, delicious and nutritious, recipes of all kinds. The main thing for me in such cases would be to just have anywhere from three up to a maximum of five ingredients in one specific recipe and just focus more on the flavor and texture of each and every one of those ingredients. Honestly, I never really liked the recipes with super long lists of ingredients, I understand their value and that they can also be super nutritious, delicious and fun to make but for me personally its just not something that I would get excited about. I like to keep things simple and I like to able to identify the ingredients even after making a recipe, not just in the middle of its making when its all out there on the table and super clear. Of course, as always, there are benefits to both sides and I definitely acknowledge them, for both simple and complex dishes. Its just a matter of timing and preferences I would normally say.
Therefore I would like to share with you today a few ideas about what those super simple recipes are or could be made of. There are a few staples in my raw vegan lifestyle, nutritionally and dietary wise speaking, things that I eat on a regular basis and recipes that I make on a regular basis and those ones would be: smoothies, salads and desserts. I will give some super simple recipe examples for each category. For smoothies I would say there are two main types of smoothies that I make: green smoothies and berry smoothies. Some examples would be: baby spinach, avocado and lemon or lime juice for the green ones and blueberries, coconut butter and coconut milk for the berry ones. For salads I just love to mix some greens and veggies with some protein and healthy fats, and of course a touch of spice, so one example of a super simple salad recipe would be: tofu, greens, tomatoes, avocado and oregano. For desserts I also love to keep it simple, so basics would be something like this: dried fruits, nuts, coconut flakes and perhaps some carob or cacao powder, and if I want to add some more healthy fats, coconut oil or coconut butter would be my first choice.
Feel free to share those super simple and delicious recipes with your lovely friends and family members and enjoy getting healthy together.
