Health and Well-being Timeline

Today I am thinking of a really nice story to share with you, especially since its the beggining of the year and most of us are making goals and plans, as well aa taking timeti rwflect on howfar we have already come, and that would be my own health and well-being story, from its starting point, more than 10 years ago up to the present moment. Of course, just like any other life journey its been having its own ups and downs, but overall its been and it still is an ongoing process that’s totally worth it. I am truly and fully enjoying each and every single moment of it and that is obe more reason why I believe it is important to share, so that I can help others perhaps find their own way towards health and well-being along the way.

For me it all started to have a shape and a more clears direction after 2010. I would say that I have been interested in health and well-being practices before, but it has not been an intentional process for me up until this point in time. In 2010, I began to realize that this is what I really want ans what actually resonates with my own life so therefore I have started to move towards a vegan lifestyle with a set of intentions and while also collecting guidance and resources along the way. It took me a few years, five to be more precise to move from the intention to be a vegan into actually being a 100% committed vegan, but it felt really good and therefore, I would say yes, it was worth being patient and learning new things so that I can be able to fully embrace it.

2015 was another great moment along my own health and well-being timeline as it marks my own entry into being 100% committed to a vegan lifestyle, this meaning not only my food choices but also life choices in general from clothes and shoes to day to day items I gradually transitioned into a vegan lifestyle which is actually, in my personal opinion all about making conscious and informed choices at all times. This was also a moment when I started to feel more confident and also comfortable speaking about my own life choices, as I already been feeling pretty informed and grounded, so therefore I would have that need to get defensive when people would ask questions like I did un the past. This is of course understandable as many of us go through uncertainty while starting or learning about something new.

Another important point in my own health and well-being journey has been the year 2017 when I started to regularly integrate yoga practices into my lifestyle on a day to day basis. As with many other things along my health journey, with yoga has also been the same process, at first I have tried it, liked it but have not been really consistent with it, but then in 2017, after finding an online 30 days yoga series I have been fully committed to doing my yoga on a daily basis. I have started gradually with anything between 20 to 30 minutes and then grew up from there. Today I am doing somewhere in between 40 to 60 minutes yoga sessions daily, and on some occasions I might be even doing longer sessions, but in general i do find that this practice of 40-60 minutes just fits into my own lifestyle best and I can do it no matter what my schedule would look like and no matter where I am at, which is of course really great.

Last but not least, the most recent update in my health and well-being practices has been integrating meditation sessions on a regular, meaning daily, basis, which happens just a few months ago, in 2020. Just like with yoga, I have tried those from time to time, in generally after a yoga practice for example, but I would not say that I was doing them regularly, up until the autumn of 2020. I did feel amazing benefits as I got to schedule them in order to make sure a do them daily, so now I am doing my yoga in the morning to energize and detox myself and the meditations at night in order to relax, and get myself ready for a wonderful and great quality night sleep. Of course I am still looking forward towards bring more improvements into my day to day lifestyle, while also making time and space to celebrate the wonderful things that I have already accomplished along the way.
