Intermittent fasting is something that has been practiced for generations and generations among the yogis and other eastern civilizations. In order to promote the healing of the body in strong connection with the mind and the spirit, as well as a matter to prolong health, wealth and overall well being. This practice is also know as and similar to the idea of time restricting eating, in which basically one eats only during certain times within the day, allowing the rest of the time to be devoted to healing and purification of ones being. Those ideas are definitely not new, but they have become more and more popular among healthy living passionate humans and people looking to improve or heal certain health conditions. Those methods can help with both healing and maintenance when done with proper care and under the proper circumstances. As with any new practices that we are looking forward towards integrating into our daily lives, a little bit of research in addition to knowing one`s own preferences and needs can be a great starting point for something magic and healing, filling and nourishing to unfold. You can always give it a try, make it your own, and allow the amazing healing benefits to unfold.
We have been trained and conditioned to think that we need a certain number of meals per day, that we need to be careful not be get too hungry, or even to get hungry at all, that in many cases its even hard to notice when man actually is in real need for fuel, energy, for food. Many foods, especially the ultra processed ones also heavily disrupt our natural ability to regulate our hunger and eat accordingly, therefore leading to all kinds of health problems or diseases. While it might seem scary to go for some hours without food, or without a snack, it might be really beneficial when we try it for the long run and do it under the right circumstances. Of course this type of living and being works best when it is paired with the intake of healthy, nourishing and nutritious foods, but still, one step at a time, improvement is always possible as long as we are willing and we are dedicating ourselves to it, to embracing the process as it unfolds. It can be really beneficial to reconsider what we have been thought in regards to this matter and if it really is helping us thrive and live life to its fullest. Sometimes and for some of us it does, some other times and for other people it does not, therefore making it necessary to start looking and experimenting with new patterns in order to find what fits best our own unique needs and desires.

For me personally, it does work best to just have two meals a day, and have a window of anywhere between six to eight hours for my daily meals, and it has never been so beneficial for me to eat multiple times a day or during the whole day. Once I started to experiment with this way of eating and living, lots of digestion difficulties have been healed and lots of good things unfolded in regards to my energy levels, focus, concentration and of course overall healing in general. Of course there might be exceptions sometimes, but as long as this is the regular way of being, I find it to be the most beneficial one for me at the moment. Allowing ourselves this time for resting and restoration is a great thing not only for our moods, but also for sleep for example which improves considerably as a result of not putting our bodies into this burden of having to digest food when they were supposed to be focused on restoration and purification. Allowing anywhere between two to three hours for digestion before sleep, therefore not eating right before bed can be very healing and beneficial for our overall well being too. In the end it`s all about tuning into our inner wisdom and guidance and allowing this guidance to unfold in order to be truly and fully able to live life to its fullest, in a healthy, balanced way.
