As I promised in December I am going to share with you my amazing trees that I have got in the last few weeks. For now I will just let you know how are things going so far and how I am taking care of them and of course what I am learning along the way. In my previous post you have all already met Jingle, my Christmas tree, which I have also beautifully decorated in December and celebrated the holiday season along, but there are also a few more trees that have also joined the family during the month of December and I am going to share some of them with you today. Jingle is doing fine, he is a very beautiful tree and it is still joyful and cheerful alfter the holiday season. The other trees that I got and that I am sharing with you today through this post are a spruce and two thujas. They are all just gorgeous. I did give them names as well so the thujas are the Bells and the spruce is Rufolf due to the red pot that I got him with. I though it would be fun to give them names that are related to the holiday season since this is the time of the year that I got them. I have to say I just loved them all from the first time I saw them and I was actually thinking about getting some thujas for the balcony for some time, but I did not search so much. And for December I was also taking into consideration the possibility of getting a Christmas tree, in a pot of course and keep taking care of it after the holidays as well. So, the idea of getting some trees was somewhere in my mind, planted, but I did not actually act upon it until last month, when something really interesting happened.

As I returned from a trip that I took at the end of November, beginning of December, I was waking back home from the bus station and I saw a flower shop, that of course I have previously seen around the neighborhood, but that I did not pay particular attention to until about that time. There was a Christmas tree outside and some Christmas arrangements and all kind of nice things, it was night already so I though, it looks interesting, but I was tired so I decided to return the next days and take another look. When I went back to the store, during day light, to see all the flowers, tree and Christmas ornaments I actually saw Jingle and the Bells, standing there right outside the door. They looked so nice so I got inside the store and asked about them. Then I went back home and since my brother was also visiting, in the city that I live in, at that time, I asked him to help me with the trees in the afternoon. We did get to the store and get the trees and from then on its all history. I also got some amazing pots for them, really beautiful and colorful and I just love how they look. I got Rudolf, the spruce, two days later, because I was also amazed by how beautiful it looked, and I thought that there is enough space for one more tree on the balcony. I have a big balcony so afterwords I got a few more pots and small trees that I am going to share with you in a future post, but so far, this is how my love for coniferous trees unfolded starting last month and now I am taking great care of them all. They all look great, I covered them with protective foil for winter to just make sure the soil does not freeze and I am careful with watering them when the weather is also fine so that again, the soil does not freeze. I have to get a few more pots for my balcony garden, but so far, I have covered them with some gunny sacks over the foil, to keep them protected during winter and they look just fine. The weather has been really nice this last month so its all good.
