This month is all about daily practices, routines, that have helped me personally a lot over the years and therefore I have decided that it would be a really nice idea to share some of my experience with you through the posts for this month. I have four very basic, but also super fulfilling and helpful practices that I use on a regular basis to stay in balance and to stay connected to my truth on a day to day basis. I am going to share them all with you in the coming weeks. The four practices that I am enjoying on a daily basis and that have totally revolutionized and improved my life over the years are the following: journalling, yoga, walks, and meditation. Today I am going to share with you all about my journaling practice and how it has evolved and transformed over the years. Journalling has been one of the first practices that I have adopted and that has helped me tremendously towards the path of healing myself and better understanding and expressing myself. Walking also came along at around the same time, but it was journaling that represented the first health practice that I sticked to and commited to on a regular, daily basis.
I love to express myself, to reflect on things, to investigate in order to better understand so that might be probably why I liked so much journaling and I just kept working upon improving it over the years. For me its all about healing, learning and growth and as long as I can find some benefits from personalizing something and applying it into my life, then I am going to stay commited, if not, that it is probably just not in sync with my preferences or its just not the right moment or the right timing so to speak. But, even with journaling, at first it was a bit chaotic and unstructured, but over the years it has shaped and involved into a consciousness driven, intentional practice that is now not just very fullfilling but also super rewarding. Of course it took some time to find and put in practice the addaptations that made it perfect for myself, but it was definitely worth the try and the effort put into exploring it, giving it a try, shaping it so that it could perfectly fit into my life and serve my purpose.
I have been journaling for a long time. But I would say that probably 2015 has been a key year that marked the development and my commitment to future journaling practices. In the summer of 2014 I have been attending a two weeks workshop and internship at an advertising company. Of course, I have learned many interesting and useful things about project management and advertising, but what really stuck with me was what one of the lecturers, a young woman, also health passionate like me but with a bit more experience at that time, presented during her presentation. It was about a book about goal setting. I read the book and immediately I felt absolutely fasinated by it and by the entire idea of goal setting. Still, only a few months later, in 2015 I actually started to do goal setting by myself and since then it has been a constant practice in my life. Before that moment I would journal randomly in a chaotic way, it was healing for sure and very revelatory in its own way, but since I structured my journaling practice in 2015 it all started to become more and more clear.
For me it became a way to connect to what matters most for me, to take a moment to celebrate my accomplishment, to keep me on track, to look back and see how I accomplished something and give myself courage to get through a tough looking or challenging situation, to just allow and let go, and most importantly to just be present with myself and have some quality time with myself and for myself on a day to day basis, but also have an overview of what I am looking to manifest next, what I would like to heal, and very important for me personally: actually structuring it. Not just saying I want this or I want that, but actually going through the steps and designing my path towards manifesting my most important wishes and desires. Over the years this practice has constantly been improved, transformed and it has brought so much healing as well as personal growth and a sense of deeper connection to my inner truth. Its such a wonderful journey and as I am looking forward towards manifesting my dreams and desires, its also such a wonderful tool to be grateful for and absolutely thankful for as amazing things unfold from just implementing this amazing practice on a day to day basis.
