The holiday season its always such a blessing. I just love to take a moment to just breathe, relax and release all expectations as we welcome the idea of celebration and just being at peace with ourselves. For me personally, the idea of holidays and holiday celebration has changed so much over the years. I know that on the mainstream side its all about gifts and lots of eating of specific seasonal foods and anywhere around those topics, sometimes it might also include some gratitute for the getting together and just the celebratory spirit of it all. It has definitelly been that way for me as well, for many many years and while I was enjoying the idea of getting together with my family members and just the happy spirits that were all around the place during specific times of the year, I than lately realized that, you know what, I do not want to feel that celebratory, gratitude, happy feeling just around those few times of the year, which yes, can be really nice, but I want to just celebrate each day, be grateful for each moment, give myself permission to just embark on a continous celebratory journey. We certanly do not have to be happy because the holiday season is happening, nor do we have to be happy just during the holiday season, but instead, what I think could be extremely beneficial for so many of us is taking a bit of that celebratory holiday feeling and infuse it into our lives and existences on a day to day basis. So basically instead of waiting for a specific time of the year to be able to be enjoying ourselves or celebrating ourselves and our families, we could be gently implementing weekly, monthly or even daily practices to just bring us a sense of that amazing holiday feeling.
By simply embracing the holiday feeling, making ourself or our loved ones the gift of happiness all through the year and not just on specific ocassions, we do contribute to our overall wellbeing and sense of meaning and purpose. It feels so good to be able to celebrate our accomplishments along the way and not just only when we reach “the final destination”. It feels so good to celebrate ourselves and one another along the way towards living better lives and embracing better practices. Afterall, the holiday spirit is all about feeling good about ourselves, celebrating ourselves and our amazing life journey, no matter how unique, how difficult or how amazing they might be, its all about pausing for a moment to just be in the moment and celebrate life as it unfolds, gracefully and with an amazing sense of connection and peace. Sometimes, yes we might be going through difficult times, or maybe even challenging times, but none of the less, it is still verry important to give ourselves this space for celerating what might go well in our lives, the progress that we might have been making so far, or just simply be grateful for the amazing lessons that unfolds into our lives even though at the moment it might still be hard to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and make sense of it all. It all happens for a reason, and there will always come a point in our lives when it will all make sense somehow, it may all be bringing up a wonderful healing experience or an amazing learning and growing journey. Life is amazing as it all unfolds beautifully each and every single moment is just a wonderful blessing for which we can trully and fully be grateful for and amazed by. It is all an awesome and amazing divine guidande to be welcomed into our lives on a day to day basis.
