This month is all about self-confidence, self-nourishment and of course self-love. This is not just because in February we have some commercial but also joyful and interesting ways of celebrating love, but also because now it’s a good time to remind ourselves that true love starts from within. Only when we are truly and fully able to love ourselves than we can truly and fully love others and be involved in meaningful, respectful and loving relationships. But it all starts from within, yes I am saying it one more time, simply because it is so true, and we tend to forget about it so often as we get involved in the business of the day. Still, lets take some time back for ourselves to be with ourselves and magical things shall happen, such as feeling so much better in our own skin, respecting ourselves more, having healthy and loving boundaries and knowing that by placing ourselves first and taking care of our selves first that we can show our true potential and really be involved with others. This is not about narcissism, but instead about making a conscious choice to meet our own needs and then be present.

I find this to be really a continuous practice as we get to know ourselves better and therefore understand ourselves better. Sometimes we expect so much from the world outside of us and we set high expectations just to try to prove things, when instead all that we need is just a little bit of quality time with ourselves. Even if we already have a practice which does in time boost our confidence and helps us stay aligned with our core values and our truth, we can still fall of the path from time to time, questioning ourselves or doubting ourselves or even our worth. But we are always worth it that needs to be said once again, and we are enough, still we do not have to stand still, simply because as we accept ourselves for where we are in our unique journeys, we become more and more involved and willing to get even better, so this comes naturally as we start to experience the benefits of staying connected to our truth. At the same time this is not about perfection, its ok to make mistakes and to acknowledge then and perhaps most importantly to be aware of what we have learned from those situations and how can we do even better in the future. Life is a journey, a continuous momentum of present moments so stay involved, do your best and your confidence will also be there to support you in your meaningful tasks and projects. Enjoy!
