Walks in Nature

Summer time is here and I am so excited about it all. Especially when it comes to getting some fresh air and a nice beautiful walk through the forest, enjoying the quiet and the refreshing energy that nature brings as it soothe us and heals us along the way. There is also the practice of forest bathing, being in nature, connecting to all living beings, the greenest of the Earth itself and all the sounds of nature, it is so good and so fresh that I just love it. Sometimes I may be feeling a bit or a bit more like not so good with how my days go along it might be a temporary feeling or an extended feeling, but it always helps to move. Sometimes it’s yoga, sometimes it’s pilates, and sometimes I just have to get outdoors for a walk, change the space, have some fresh air and even better, enjoy nature. It always helps to calm me down and to bring me back to my senses, to just relax and get back into the present moment. It’s such a blessing to move and to breath and be alive.

Our amazing bodies were born to move and we are spending so much time indoors and at our offices, of course we do need to work and get the bills paid, but as much as we need that we also need to take care of our bodies needs such us good nutrition and proper regular movement, time in nature and walks outdoors. I always love to go out for walks, even before I had Maya, my dog, I used to go 2-3 times a day for a short walk and when time allowed for even longer walks. Now that I have Maya since last years I mostly take my daily walks with her, but when I have to get something done that is in a reasonably close location to my home I love to just walk there instead of taking a bus for example. It also allows me sometimes to take a moment to quiet my mind if I am maybe anxious about where I am going, it’s like taking time to get in the mood. Maya also enjoys our walks so I am really grateful that we do get to take our walks together right now, having a dog is truly a wonderful blessing, and of course it comes with a lot of responsability as well as playfulness and joy.
