Its Summer Time

I have spent most of my life living next to the seaside or nearby the seaside and I have been going to the seaside every summer until I moved a little bit further and pretty much stopped going. Actually in the last 10 years I only went a couple of times, mostly because I was not so interested anymore in the seaside vibe, but I did go last year. So I would say I got caught back into the magic of going to the seaside. there is most probably a post coming soon on this topic, but we will see. So far I have not quite decided if I am going this year, there is still time so to speak so we shall see. But I have decided to go to the pool to have a little bit of the summer vibe experience myself. Therefore I have decided to share with you today, as you stay well hydrated and well nourished this summer, my own experience with trying to find solutions for eating outdoors when maybe what we find is not so perfect as we think it should be.

The pool experience has been quite nice I admit, its not the same like going to the see, but it was nice to look at the pool water and see the mountain area around, so just a different flavour of summer experience. It was a but tricky to find healthy food so to speak and a mostly had water and coffee, but I did decided to have some fries, so going vegan this time, as the raw vegan avocado salad they provided was not so appealing to be quite honest. But still eating fries from now and then it’s not such a bad thing, but observing how your body reacts to your choices should be the decisive factors that tells you what your next move shall be.

Sure, sometimes we might have to be creative to find alternatives to our normal ways of eating that are not damaging to our bodies. I normally notice some water retention when I eat restaurant food, but this time it was not the case. Our bodily reactions also depend on a complex constellation of factors such us: what we eat, how much we eat, if there are any allergies or sensibilities that we might be dealing with, how tired or well rested we are, our emotional state and so on and so forth. So, yes, as I have also previously written on the blog, it’s ok to indulge, just be conscious of your own patterns and be aware of your overall state of wellbeing and health. We are unique individuals with unique and individual nutritional needs therefore see what works for yourself and whenever in need seek for professional help be it nutritional, medical or for your own mental well-being. There is no better feeling that just simply caring for yourself in a beautiful and amazing way.
