I have been reading a lot lately, and not really my usual king of books. I did feel very inspired at first and pretty much most of my life by a great number of lets call them non fiction type of books. I am so passionate about nutrition, personal development and overall wellbeing, pretty much anything related to health in a matter of mind, body and soul. Spiritual kind of books were also a thing I have been passionate about, as well as a somatic understanding of processes and doings of the human body. I do love to read and even though I do have a creative background when it comes to my studies and I have also read art related topics and books, when it comes to what I love the most it is really health and wellbeing, also why I started this blog, exactly 10 years ago, in January 2025 and I am so proud of being able to keep coming back to it as my safe space my safe place, my home.

But, lately I have started reading a lot of fiction books, love stories, wellbeing stories, adventures and psychological books and dramas and I absolutely love them. I finally got to an understanding of the old saying that emphasises how important storytelling is and was for the development of humans through out the ages. As I have learned in therapy as well as from the readings of psychology books, our minds to need stories in order to function properly and in order to make sense of what is going on in our lives on a day to day basis. It’s also the basis for wellbeing as well as for our mental and spiritual healing. I have been reading a lot, as I said, of fiction books lately and I would say that also all the cliches perhaps are so true as well, a story gives you the possibility to experience some sort of an utopian setting as well as something you might never have the courage to experience in real life, as well as maybe even the courage to see that you can do anything and everything you set your mind too, that you are indeed not alone and life is truly and fully amazing and inspiring after all, therefore, I would rephrase this ideea of clichés into, perhaps something that seems bold and adventurous, but this is how I feel about it, a matter of universal truths.

In life things might get tough sometimes, but even the idea that its ok for us to feel our emotions and feelings, which we can also learn in therapy or just by being alive, is a good thing, and even the not so pleasant ones are still there taking shape into our lives as a matter of making sense, and bringing us closer to our own unique truths and individual as well as colective wellbeing. I love reading and sharing ideas that have inspired me and I think that simply by diversifying my portfolio of what I do like and do not like to read is super helpful in getting me to know myself better, as well as create a better sense of balance as well as harmony into my life on a day to day basis. For me since I and a gurmand at heart, a sweets lover and a nutrition passionate, I do love to feed my mind as well as my body properly, and in this case of reading a good book, there is nothing that goes best with it then the amazing taste of a great warm coffee cup. I do love coffee and I do love pairing it with an inspiring book.
