Hey, there! Well, it was about time that I also start addressing in my experiment for the month of December, the elephant in the room, meaning Christmas related topics, therefore today, I am going to share with you some lovely photos as well as some of my personal insights into and related to this time of the year. I really hope you enjoy this and get inspired to try some of those practices too, why not? There is always a start for anything. I personally love this time of the year, probably, because on an emotional level I did condition myself from a very young age that this is a good and cheerful and joyful time of the year, no matter what, and then, even when there was I don’t know perhaps something bothering me or a not so cheerful year behind me and so on and so forth, I would still manage somehow to enjoy this time of the year and feel good about myself again. What I love the most, even though I do this on a regular monthly basis, and not just at the end of the year / begging of a new year, is not just the goal setting part but also the reflection on the lessons learned over a specific time interval. Basically, what I am trying to highlight here is that, or at least this has been my experience, it is not just about the material things but also about reflecting on what has already passed and setting an intention for the future to be.

This perspective has changed a lot over the years, and as I have grown up, but the spark(le) (I like to think), its still there, not just at this time of the year, but also though out the duration of the entire year. When I wrote the first posts for my blog here, almost 11 years ago, it was specifically at this time of the year, and I started with this intention to not only focus on the material things, which are of course sometimes the actual proof that our desires did come through, but also on other things, like the reflections that I mentioned earlier. Therefore now, 11 years later, I would like today to circle back to this idea and invite you all to reflect on this. What about the other things that we can be grateful for, be them experiences, connections, moments of awe, reflections, or perhaps relationships, acknowledgements or maybe even just something not just good for our overall health and wellbeing but also in general, like therapeutic encounters be them of various sorts and kinds (cognitive, somatic, psychosomatic and so on and so forth) or any other forms of transformative experiences we might be going through right now or have been going through already. I strongly encourage you, as I personally love and adore this practice, to take some time and space for yourself to be with yourself and reflect as well as set intentions mindfully and then watch open heartedly how it all unfolds beautifully. This happens not just because you set the intention and let it be, but also because when you align yourself with your true values and core beliefs, life manifests itself accordingly, and you yourself get a chance as well to be an active participant (not just a spectator) in the manifestation of your dreams, goals and desires and turning them into reality.
