Today I have a really short and cute post for you, it’s all about the best green smoothie in the whole wide world. I just did my best to reduce the ingredients as much as possible, pretty much to the basics and see how it goes. So I am super proud that I managed to make a great smoothie with only three ingredients. Super yummy and delicious, as well as nutritious, of course. I absolutely love green smoothies, even though I haven’t been drinking so many smoothies lately, I don’t know there is like a special thing that I have developed for smoothies over the years, the green smoothies and the berry smoothies, which are my absolute all time favourites, are just a cozy and warm place to get to, they just simply make me feel like home. Probably because they are an important part of the raw vegan lifestyle, which I integrated gradually over the years into my life, and with which I resonate so much, just makes me feel great again, no matter what I might be going thought, its my safe space, my safe place to regroup, take a deep breath and reconnect.

So, here we go, here are the ingredients that we are going to need for this super simple, delicious and nutritious green smoothie:
avocado
lemon juice or any other citrus juice (of choice)
romaine lettuce (any other greens of choice or mix of greens)
last but not least you can also add to these three wonderful, super healthy and nutritious ingredients a pinch of salt, for an extra kick of deliciousness. Yum.
We use a blender to mix all the ingredients together and add about 1-2 cups of water, depending on the desired consistency. When it gets super smooth and creamy we can pour it into serving cups or glasses of choice, and we can serve it right away. I have to say, I was absolutely in awe to see how good something that simple can taste, its nuts. I do sometimes have a tendency to complicate things, like with recipes, I am trying to increase the nutritional benefits and I end up adding all kinds of powder and supplements to my smoothies, but then the taste is a little weird, so, I think its a good rule of thumb to just learn to do our best to keep things simple. It will most probably work just fine.

I truly believe that when we take care of our bodies and nourish ourselves with the most nutritious and fulfilling plant based foods available to us at all times, then we are really able to reach our full potential and live life to its fullest.
