Well, today I would like to invite you to gently ask yourself one simple question: what makes you really thrive, feel at your best and like you could just be doing that thing for ever and ever and not get tired or angry, and just be in the flow? What would that be? What would help you simply be your true and most authentic self? Not what other people want you to be. Not what you think you should be, but in fact, just living and breathing and being yourself. Now, I hope you are embarking on this journey today and tapping into that inner space along with me as we continue with this exercise, what do you feel? How do you feel when you allow yourself to just be, and not only that, but also be exactly how you want to be and where you want to be, doing the exact same thing that you want to be doing right now, in this present moment? How would that feel? Look, this is not a matter of ignoring our day to day responsibilities, and if you are like me, meaning a bit sceptical, than most probably the “buts” have already started popping in your beautiful head, but what if that, what if this and so on and so forth. We are so much of the time running on a treadmill of life, jumping from one task to the next and just looking forward to checking things of of our to do lists. And that is fine, my friend, and also, a pretty regular part of our daily lives. But, (now the good “but”, wink wink, just kidding, but not kidding), what if we take a moment and just allow ourselves to simply be and get connected back to ourselves and our most authentic core values and beliefs, what if we do just that?

Well, I do not know about you, but I am going to tell you how this process goes for me personally, while I also highly encourage you to do this exercise, along with some breath technique, in order to be able to calm the nervous system and dive even deeper into this amazing process. So, for me personally, this reconnect looks like this: taking time and space for myself, to be present with myself and reflect upon my goals, wishes and desires, express gratitude, for the lessons that I have learned so far and set further conscious intentions and goals that deeply reflect my values and beliefs. Its not always easy to be fully present, as my mind refuses to cooperate sometimes, we all know that feeling, of duties infiltrating our personal time and trying to distract us from our most precious moment with ourselves, but with practice and patience, it does become easier with time. Over the years, I have learned, sometimes in more gentle ways, while other times in more aggressive, so to speak, ways, that if I do not take time for myself, on a regular basis, to check in with myself, see what I need, how things are going and so on and so forth, this disconnect, when it happens does take a toll on my overall health, not just physical but also mental health as well. We are creatures of meaning and we need to be in sync with our own unique needs, goals and desires. The more aligned we are with ourselves, and our truth, the better we feel, and the better outcomes we get for all the things that we might get involved in or with. So, todays post if just an invite to take a deep breath and be present, be there for yourself, because you are amazing, my friend, and you are indeed, truly and fully worth it. Have a wonderful and amazing day ahead!
