I have decided that I would actually enjoy writing about some gift ideas, so basically like a gift guide for the holiday season, that I personally think would be not just a joy for the moment, but also a chance to get to connect with someone on a deeper level and make amazing and wonderful memories. I have to admit first that I am very picky, when it comes to gifts and things that you could give someone as a gift, and I am not such a big fan of just doing it for its own sake. I personally prefer to not give a gift if I am not in the mood for that, and when I do, then I do my best to make it be a very thoughtful experience and simply come from the heart, as a gesture of kindness and care. I do not think that we should give gifts for the sake of it, but instead, be more mindful about the whole process and make it more personal, rather that a custom that society implies on us so that we can simply feed into more and consumerism and superficial choices. It’s good to support a business and a cause that we believe in by the choices that we make for buying habits, but it doesn’t need to turn itself into a struggle. Sometimes, the best gift is being there for someone, or staying close to someone during hard times, and some other times it is something like an adventure, an experience, or an act of presence.

Therefore I would say that taking some time to actually understand and set an intention for the process of giving a gift could be a great place to start. What is the occasion, what does this person really want or is really looking forward to? Sometimes, its not the material things that matters the most, but the gesture in and of itself that connects people truly and fully and brings them together in a more authentic and caring way. We also do not need to fall into the trap of perfectionism, or the material trap of how much is it going to cost or should cost in order to be truly valuable. The truth is, as we all know, there are things in life, many of them in fact, that are actually priceless but value the world for someone depending on their own preferences, values and beliefs, so tapping into those areas of meaning, as well as personal growth and development areas, can always be a great area to explore when asking ourselves about the so called “perfect” gift for someone that we really care for. Then, it’s also a matter of priorities and timing, is this gift in alignment with what its recipient is actually looking for at this stage in their life? And if the answer is yes, that we are not only making a nice gift, but also a thoughtful and meaningful one.

Sometimes, the most appreciated gifts are not necessarily, again, material things, or object, but in fact the simple thought of caring for someone, that is represented by the actual gift of giving. Sometimes, we feel so flattered just because someone has through about ourselves in such a kind and giving way and we do appreciate so much the gesture, turning it into a wonderful moment filled with good vibes and positive emotions. And sometimes, the most wonderful gifts simply come from the unexpected ones in our lives, from the people with whom we may have not been interacting so much or so close, over a certain duration of time, but there is a certain feel good energy attached to the gift, that simply makes it even more valuable and more precious to our souls. I did receive two of those gifts this year, and I would say its just an amazing experience, its a next level connection and sense of appreciation as well as a sense of awe, for the ways in which the universes laws are being put into action in order to bring people together in wonderful and amazing ways. I am super grateful for all the gifts, all the amazing support that I have received this year both on a personal, as well as on a professional level, and I hope that this post today, inspires you to take a moment to reflect, as well as meditate on all the things that you are personally grateful for this year too.
