All I Want for Christmas This Year

It’s Christmas Eve already and I am actually getting a little bit excited, so that’s just wonderful. I am enjoying my time off for this amazing holiday season and I am looking forward to even more rest, relax and replenish time for myself to be with myself. Therefore I thought it would be really nice to share with you today, as its is only one day left until Christmas, yu-hu, what I am actually truly and fully looking forward when it comes to this years magic Christmas time. Its very simple and its very special to me honestly, its very classy as well, but its all that I need and all that i want for Christmas this year. So, this year, it’s all about peace and quiet time for myself, lots of rest and relaxation and of course having a wonderful time with my dogs. It is also a time that for me, is about conscious movement, as well as good food and a good mood. Sometimes all we need is to just pause in between action and reaction, take a moment to reflect and find what feels good in the moment, and allow that feeling to inspire our next action in order to be able to live life fully and meaningfully.

I am also looking forward to this reflection time of the year. As I already mentioned before, in many of my latest posts, its been an honestly very chaotic year, but also a year that has been full with lots of learning opportunities, as well as healing and personal, as well as professional opportunities too. Sometimes it did feel like I needed to stretch myself a little bit too much too fast, or like the timing was not actually working on my side, but as I like to think, and as a general life guideline that also happens to apply this year, it all makes sense eventually at some point, sometimes, not exactly as it is happening, but at some point we do get to look back in awe and make sense of it all, get to be able to see to so called greater picture, and for that I am truly and fully, deeply grateful. Therefore, that is just one more reason to be so excited about quiet time and rest, me time and just that kind of stuff for this years winter holiday season.

All of that, that I have already mentioned, and there is one small plot twist, by the end of this blog post, but I hope that you are really going to like it. So, I have been doing yoga and related indoors physical activities on a regular basis for the last 7 and a half years, and I absolutely love it and I am looking forward to continuing this amazing practice in the new year as well. But, as I started to reflect upon this years events and challenges and so on and so forth, as well as I started to work on my goal setting for the new year, I realised that I am actually ready and willing to diversify my movement and try out some outdoorsy activities as well. Therefore, in the new year what I am really looking forward to is introducing some hiking and trekking activities (gradually, of course and with guidance and support from people who are doing this and have more experience than I do at the moment) on a regular basis and see how it goes. That’s why, I also got myself some new trekking shoes (so also, part of what I want for Christmas this year), and I am super excited and can’t wait to start this soon. Now, I encourage you to take a deep breath and ask yourself, what are you really looking forward to this holiday season as well as for the year that is about to come?
