I have personally started my own yoga journey in 2017, as a constant practice and since then my practice kept shifting, changing forms and ultimately improving by each and every session that I have done, bringing me closer and closer to my truth and to my own inner guidance. I love yoga for many reasons, but one that has been stuck with me throughout the years is that it simply just resonates with me. I would say a restorative yoga practice is what I love the most, but also challenging and constantly my flexibility through the yoga practices are definitely on my goals list for improved fitness and body function. I just find that whatever I experience on the mat is a good metaphor for life itself, and that by learning to be still and focused on the mat, I can then mindfully bring those skills into my day to day living in a beautiful and mindful way. That is just the core of what I love about yoga. I also had my ups and downs throughout the years, I have also tried other movement practices and there are seasons in my life when I have pretty much focused on other body movement types, but still somehow, yoga always makes its way back into my life after a while. Yoga is such a blessing for me and I am taking some time this week to honour this practice as a part of my life for the last 7 years.

What I found our to be crucial for me is consistency, honestly, I tried, the x number of movement per week and so on and so forth, but I would rather do 20-30 min daily and do it each day, even if overall its the same thing then going back and forth. Sure, there are also a lot of options out there, at the moment I am also exploring stretching classes and pilates classes, which a started almost a year a go. I also went to yoga classes, but I just prefer my home cozy practice when it comes to yoga, I don’t know why, but it just feels so much better, no matter if a am doing a 20 min or a 50 min flow at home is just my sweet spot when it comes to yoga. Still going to yoga classes with other people has also been an enriching and interesting experience, but as already mentioned, for movement purposes and health purposes, I prefer the at home practice and of course my daily walks and meditation practices, which I talked about in previous posts. Right now, I just got back into my daily yoga practice, at home, comfy cozy, and I just love. I see that things are changing with time as it is natural to be, but it is just such a nice feeling to be at home and to feel at home, both physically, as a matter of space as well and mentally and spiritually to be feeling at home with yourself and exactly where you are at right, right now, in this present moment.
