Tahini Coconut Spread

I absolutely love nut butters and of course, as you probably already know, if you have read any of my previous posts on desserts and coconut based recipes, I absolutely love and adore everything that has coconut in it, at some point I even did a market research and purchased all kinds of products based on coconuts in order to experiment with them and see what kind of amazing, nutritions and delicious recipes I can make and how I can combine different ingredients in order to not only get a tasty and delicious recipe but also a nutritious and nourishing one. Yes, there are all kinds of products based on coconut: coconut oil, coconut butter, coconut flakes, coconut flour, coconut sugar and so on and so forth, but today is all about the divine and simple combo of tahini and coconut, and you have got to try it as it simply tastes amazing and its just so good. Tahini is also a great source of calcium, and a good source of plant based protein and healthy fats.

The ingredients that we are going to need for this tahini and coconut spread are:

tahini

coconut flakes

coconut butter / coconut oil

( optional sweetener of choice, it can be date paste, agave syrup, coconut sugar, or no sweetener at all as your heart desires )

( optional for protein boost you can add some hemp seeds, they add a bit of crunchiness to the mix and pair up really well with the tahini and coconut )

spices of choice: feel free to add some vanilla, or cinnamon or even both to the mix, its going to taste so good!

We mix all the ingredients together and we can keep it for up to a few days or enjoy right away. It can also be used as a base for other recipes, you can also make a chocolate mix with this or just add it on top of your vegan brownies, rice cakes or any other recipe of your own choice.
