I have personally seen many people, over the years, being interested in living a healthier life in general and wanting to get valuable information that is going to support them manage not only the transition towards a more fulfilling lifestyle but also, on a deeper and more profound level, the achievement of a mindful state of overall wellbeing and happiness. While many people might be still asociating lifestyle changes as being restrictive or to some extent stressful, especially when living a busy modern life, the truth is that some lifestyle changes are actually not only beneficial for our bodies and minds, but they also have a very interesting way of playing a role in our own wellbeing, in a more holistic way, and the benefits can sometimes be really worth it, especially when we are thinking about implementing sustainable, healthy and balance lifestyle choices for the long run.
There are of course many factors that come into play when we decide to explore for example our nutritional choices and nutritional status, from the way something looks and how appealing it is to us to the nutritional benefits, and going even further to the other aspects that might also play an important role. When it comes to the ways in which we feed ourselves, both physically as well as mentally and spiritually, here we can think of accessibility, both in terms of physical space, stores and so on as well as from a financial view point. Then we can go even further and explore these options by thinking of sustainability and a sense of bringing our own contribution to the ways in which the economy is functioning on a larger scale, therefore asking ourselves: what kind of products and businesses are we actually supporting by investing our time and energy, as well as finances and what does it really matter for us as individuals to support those projects of businesses? Is this really something that speaks for our own values or is it just because we are trying to fit into a social / cultural norm? There is no right or wrong here, it’s just about being conscious of our choices and taking responsibility for our own actions and belief systems.

There might be times in our lives, especially when we are trying to integrate something new into our lives, making a considerate change in our lifestyle, that we get to feel a sense of lack of control, like the old habits and conditioning are taking over our own will, acting on auto-pilot and driving us right back to where we started. At such times, it is especially important to be gentle with ourselves, understand the stages of implementing change and knowing that there will be set backs at times, and that is ok, we are still making a conscious choice towards a better future for ourselves, and by simply being consistent we get to experience the real benefits and advantages of implementing a healthier, more supportive lifestyle for our overall wellbeing in the long run. Its not always easy, therefore it is important to get prepared, both in terms of having an open and flexible mindset in order to integrate change gradually and consistently as well as in terms of space and surroundings: making sure that the environment that we are in also supports the changes that we are looking forward to integrate and that the people around us are also a good influence in terms of implementing those lifestyle changes.
I personally believe that everything that we go thought in life is a learning opportunity and a chance to learn a wonderful lesson, that in the end is simply meant to bring us closer to our true self and our true core values and beliefs. Some changes happen right away, with no effort required, it all unfolds naturally, with ease and grace, but some other changes are simply filled with challenges and stressful moments, but when we make a conscious choice to see these obstacles as detours in the right direction, then we can simply take control again over our unique and amazing transformation process and just embrace it as it unfolds. There is no need for blaming or shaming ourselves or others, or the context that we might be going through, as it is all, in the end a wonderful learning and growing opportunity. And when we decide to see it that way, we get to experience the true miracle of life: a shift in perception as we move from a blocked and focused on scarcity and blame mindset, to a mindset that is open and flexible, and not only that, but also is a mindset that brings us into the energy of flow, abundance, and a sense of divine guidance, inspiring us to simply let go of what no longer serves us anymore, and embrace the unknown.
